PJ2Y in IOTA 2002

Five members (G3TKF, G3XSV, G4FKA, G0HFX, M0WLF) were back in Curacao this year from 22nd to 31st July including the IOTA Contest on 27/28th July.  We used PJ2Y again during the contest and PJ2/owncall at other times on all bands 80m to 6m.  QSL to home call or to G3SWH for PJ2Y.  Take a look at the photos or the claimed scores.  ...and at EI7M G0KDS, G7ORR, G0WKW and M0XXX were operating with the East Cork Group during the IOTA Contest.

RSGB Jubilee Contest

The special call GQ6YB was aired for the first and only time during the unique Jubilee Contest in June 2002.  The Bristol Contest Group went all out to win this contest operating Field Day style from one of our best local sites in Bath.  And we're pleased to say we did win the Multi-op section of the contest.

2002 CQWPX CW and CQ WW CW as GX6YB
Thanks to the Shirehampton Club in Bristol for the loan of their QTH.  We were surprised how well we got out from this waterside location with just a tribander at 60ft and dipole antennas.  We repeated the experience in November from the same location.
