GB5HQ 2003

In July 2003 the group contributed one of the stations to the RSGB's massive Multi-Multi effort where 10 stations were operating across the UK.  The station operated as the UK's HQ station in the IARU World Championship.  For details of the whole operation see the GB5HQ site.

Bristol CG set up the 40m SSB station from the QTH of the Shirehampton Club.  Logs of all stations were linked via the Internet.  Overall GB5HQ score was approx. 17Million points.  40m SSB contributed 1671 QSOs.

Geoff G4FKA and Neil M0AXF/EI3JE dig the DX out of the noise. 
This was the first time that the group entered NFD for three years.  We came 3rd in the Open Section.

Robin G3TKF and Matt M0MAT experiencing the usual damp field day weather. 

 

GW6YB came 2nd in the multi-op section.
